Awesome Bathroom Tile Design Can Be Achieved With A Little Creativity!

Great bathroom tile design can be achieved economically with a bit of imagination and creativity, yet one trip through a tile store or can make nearly anyone think otherwise. Ranging from ceramic to glass, just selecting from the vast number of choices can be overwhelming. Once a type of tile has been selected, there are multiple sizes to choose from ranging from 1 inch squares to 6 inch squares, and larger. Then to complicate matters further are the complementary accent pieces. These are the pieces with designs, motifs, and textures that can be used to create a pattern or a border when the tile is installed. Then if one decides on accent squares, there are sometimes additional accent pieces of rope tile or listelles that can border the accent squares. These listelles can greatly add to the cost of any tile project.

Skipping the patterned accent pieces, and expensive listelles can save money when tiling home bathrooms without compromising style and beauty. Highlighted below are examples of great bathroom tile design in custom bathrooms. In photo 1 is a shower stall with two sizes of the same tile. The majority of the shower is finished in 4 inch squares yet at shoulder height is a running pattern in 2″ by 4″ pieces of the same tile. In photo 2, the same natural stone in 4 inch squares was used, yet a creative pattern was created using the same size and style of stone in a different color. Each offers a creative approach to bathroom tile design, yet didn’t break the bank.
