He wanted a large ceiling-mounted rain shower head, she wanted a traditional wall-mounted shower head attached on a sliding bar so the shower head could be raised or lowered. She wanted a shower head that could be handheld. He wanted body sprays, she didn’t. Neither husband nor wife could figure out how all of these features were possible in their small bathroom. Though simpler to handle at the time of new home construction, small bathrooms can be remodeled to handle these shower systems. A good plumber should be available to analyze a home’s plumbing infrastructure and determine the best way to create a dream bathroom. To handle these multiple water sources, ¾ inch water supply lines may be necessary, thermostatic mixers, special valves may be necessary that are capable of controlling higher flow rates and more devices, and adequate hot water supply. A homeowner may be interested in using of these shower sprays one at a time, or body sprays and overhead sprays simultaneously, so good planning and a good plumber are necessary to make it all possible.
Many homeowners are looking for that spa experience at home. People take less time today to fill up a large tub and then less time to actually enjoy it.
